Install Assist Keeps Getting Better and Faster
Clare continues to enhance the Install Assist App to make it simpler to add devices without a laptop or network connection. It is so easy to add devices using the Install Assist App, that we are urging experienced Fusion programmers to use Install Assist for initial setup of all compatible devices. It is substantially FASTER to pair devices in Install Assist than build in Fusion. The recent 5.5 release adds the ability to pair and set up Nest and Honeywell Lyric thermostats within the Install Assist and ClareHome Apps only. Once these devices are added, Fusion can be used for configuring scenes, rules and troubleshooting.
OAUTH Security Enhancements
Clare’s Install Assist App now runs OAUTH, a token-based security feature that allows integration with third-party servers without requiring user passwords. Entering fewer passwords reduces risk points for clients while providing secure access to OAUTH devices. These devices include Nest and Honeywell Lyric thermostats as well as the soon to be released support for the Chamberlain MyQ controller. Once these devices are added in using the Install Assist or ClareHome App, Fusion can be used for configuring scenes, rules and troubleshooting.
Add Keypads Without a Laptop
With the Release of 5.5, both keypads and virtual keypads can now be configured with the Clare Install Assist and ClareHome Apps. We temporarily suspended keypad configuration within Fusion, stay tuned for a notification as soon as this Fusion functionality is updated and released.

Enhanced Resolution Products Helix Security System Status Reporting – The ClareHome App now displays troubled conditions for the Resolution Helix security panel. These Troubled states include:
- Missing Battery
- Low Battery
- Wireless Siren Trouble
- Receiver Jam
- Keypad Trouble
- Keyfob Trouble
- Power Failure
- Security Monitoring Trouble
