Serial Devices Requiring a Global Cache IP2SL Tech Bulletin

Purpose

The purpose of this Technical Bulletin is to identify the serial control devices that require a Global Cache IP2SL for communication with your ClareHome system.

Compatible devices

When connecting the following serial control devices to your ClareHome system, you must use a Global Cache IP2SL iTach IP to Serial device to ensure proper communication. These devices include:

  • Knox Matrix switches
  • Key Digital KDHDMS4x4
  • Somfy Universal RTS Interface II
  • Sonance iPort

These devices do not require any special configuration in Fusion. When ordering a Global Cache IP2SL, please be sure to reference part number GC-IP2SL-P
