How to Perform a Sensor Signal Test to the Central Station

Sensor Signal Testing is a new feature added to ClareOne in the Autumn 2021 release. It enables testing of security sensors either local only or both local and to the central station without having to arm the panel. While the test mode is active, installers can sequentially trip each sensor then validate their status on the ClareOne interface. Test results will also indicate the specific alarm code sent to the central station.  This mode will automatically turn off when leaving the Sensor Test page on the ClareOne.

Note:  Your central station must also be in test mode to prevent false alarm reporting.

How to test

  1. On the ClareOne panel, tap Settings > Installer Settings > System Test > Sensor Test. The following page is displayed.
    Central_Station_Test_3
  2. Toggle Sensor Alarm Delivery Test to On to test the sensor locally and with the central station.  The ClareOne will send an alarm code of "607 - Walk Test Begin".

Note:  Your central station must also be in test mode to prevent false alarm reporting.

  3. While the Sensor Test page is active, walk to each sensor in the home and trip it.
  4. Return to the panel and verify that each sensor was tripped, and troubleshoot those that aren’t.
  5. The alarm code for each tripped sensor is indicated.
  6. Verify with your central station that each alarm code was delivered.
  7. Tap the back button to complete the test. The Sensor Alarm Delivery Test option is automatically set to Off when exiting the test page. The ClareOne will send an alarm code of "607 - Walk Test End".
  8. To check alarm delivery from the ClareOne in FusionPro open the targeted account, tap Service Plans, then click on the View Events.
