With recent upgrades, the company’s UI delivers a seamless user-configured experience, across locations, languages, and mobile platforms.
SARASOTA, Fla. September 12, 2013 – Clare Controls, a provider of easily configured, deployed, and maintained home automation components and systems, has announced the inclusion of Android phone support in its most recent package of user interface upgrades.
Clare delivers support for the popular smart phone as a logical extension of its established ClareHome App for iOS devices and its unique “People Over Places” orientation. Universal proficiency is assured through a seamless port of Clare’s Apple-like experience to the Android platform. Users of both platforms design and maintain their own interfaces, based on the things they love to do, and not only the rooms they happen to be in. The Android App will be available Q4, 2013.
Other Clare UI improvements include:
- Dockable Apps that allow users to pin large dynamic versions of their favorite Apps in a sliding dock at the bottom of their Control Spaces.
- New Apps including door locks, water valves and localized weather.
- User Controls that let users switch between Clare systems in multiple homes, activate the access-controlled Guest Mode on visitors/kids/contractor’s devices, and regulate system changes.
To complement these and other recent UI upgrades, Clare will soon allow homeowners to use ClareHome Premium to customize system access. It will allow them to activate remote access capability, and to create and modify Scenes and schedules without programming skills or outside assistance.
The ClareHome App is also a favorite of integrators. It is easy to demonstrate, sell, and deliver. It saves hours and dollars by eliminating the integrator’s need to develop custom interfaces. And, in parallel with the ClareOS automation solution’s cloud-based management capabilities, it allows integrators to maintain or service customers’ interfaces remotely, without costly on-site presence.
“The evolution of our interface is an accurate reflection of our ongoing commitments to integrator efficiency and user control,” said Clare CEO Brett Price. “We believe we’re delivering the industry’s richest user experience, by far. What’s your customer’s platform? Android? iOS? Check. Do they want it in another language, like Spanish or Dutch? Check. Do they want it in French because they’ll be vacationing at the top of the Eiffel tower? No problem. ClareAnywhere makes our dealers members of a very small group who can honestly offer secured remote access, allowing users to access their automated systems – even in multiple homes – from anywhere in the world, without compromising their home networks.”
